New football sessions for 12 to 17 year olds in Thanet are now running at the Margate five-a-side pitches.
The sessions are organised by the council's Sport 4 NRG team and are aimed at both boys and girls. They take place on Monday nights between 4pm and 5pm every week, except on Bank Holidays.
As well as having a kick around, it's an opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills in a safe and fun environment. There's also match play, complete with penalty shoot outs.
James Gregory, Sport 4 NRG Officer, said: "The most important thing that we're aiming to do at Sport 4 NRG is to help young people improve their skills and better themselves at sport. Our sessions are also a great way to meet new friends and have the opportunity to do something different in the community. The Margate football sessions are a lot of fun and we want more young people to join in with what's going on. With all the activities provided by Sport 4 NRG, there's no reason for any young person in Thanet to say they're bored!"
