Plans for a new swimming pool and spa at Ramsgate Sports Centre have been approved by Thanet District Council’s Planning Committee.
The application is for an extension to the existing sports centre, which would house a 25 metre main swimming pool and spa facilities, including a hydro pool, along with a remodelled main entrance for both the new pool and the existing leisure centre.
The plans were agreed at a meeting of Planning Committee on Wednesday night (15 December) with amendments. The new footpath, which would be located next to the rear boundary of properties along Paradise Row, will now have additional landscaping on the boundary with those properties. This means that the footpath will be one metre narrower as a result.
