BUILDING SCHOOLS FOR THE FUTURE CUTS

"As Chair of Governors for one of the schools affected Cllr Clive Hart said "The whole process of deciding how much of the Building Schools for the Future programme would be scrapped has been a very worrying and stressful shambles. Since the election in May, weeks of uncertainty have cost schools, KCC and the construction companies involved time and money in continuing to prepare for schemes that have now been scrapped. If these decisions had been made earlier it could have saved a small fortune. What a waste of time and effort. What a blow for the pupils and any kind of forward vision".

Cllr Clive Hart - Leader of the Opposition at Thanet District Council

(also Chair of Governors at Laleham Gap Special School in Cliftonville & Broadstairs).
