Free Music Festival on the seashores of Ramsgate

Going down in history, as the first ever Free Music Festival on the seashores of Ramsgate, the festival features a live stage, a solar powered dance tent actually on the beach, and a kid’s area.

Whilst the musical focus centre’s on the wealth of thoroughbred local talent, the line-up is beautifully topped off with more than a smattering of globally recognized artists, including voice of the UK Jungle Movement Congo Natty; dance-floor rammers Serial KillazReverend D. Wayne Love and Reverend Be Atwell of Alabama 3 notoriety; old school festival favourites LS Diezel; and Brian Beadyman Wilson, protest poet.
The showcase of local bands and artists spans a spectrum of styles, ranging from Tundra with their funky grooves thru’ the psychedelic rock of Aurora, blues from Blue On Black, authentic skinhead ska and blue-beat courtesy of DJ Toast on to the pure pop of successful x-factor contender, Ben Mills.

The kid’s area has a small funfair, bouncy castles, face painting, dance classes, creative activities and music. There will be food stalls and eclectic vintage, craft and funky marketplace; live sculpture over the four days with the opportunity to participate and local community stalls.
Passionate and unpretentiously conscious, festival initiator and organiser Kandy Jones, driven by an inexorable desire to improve the situation for her community and visitors alike, wants the event ‘to be a window into how the seafront can be used and enjoyed by the people as it should be and always has been throughout history, a demonstration of the pleasure, happiness and health it can bring when brought to life by the community, of which it forms an integral part.’

Inspired by love and a wonderful vision, this event will bring alive this beloved and long neglected, historic part of Ramsgate; infusing it with the positivity, fun and magic of a family friendly festival atmosphere.
