HALF TERM BLAST FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Young people can have a blast this February half term at a free event, hosted by Engage, at Cliftonville.

The event, which runs from 2pm until 5pm on Friday 19 February, is open to 11 to 18 year olds and takes place at the Quarterdeck youth centre in Zion Place.

It will offer activities and tasters of what is on offer around Thanet for young people. There will be five-a-side football from Sport 4 NRG, MCing, songwriting and music technology workshops from Pie Factory Music and their mobile music unit. The Thanet Coast Project will be hosting a range of activities, as will Pipeline. You can get involved in arts and craft activities, have your bike marked and there will be freebies on offer.

There will also be an information marketplace area, offering lots of free advice and information from different organisations in Thanet. You can find out more about drug and alcohol awareness, sexual health awareness, Connections and East Kent Mencap. It gives young people the chance to discover what's on offer for them over the next few months.
Engage is made up of more than 30 different agencies and organisations working together to put on high quality free events and activities for young people, children and families in Thanet.
